Kid: "I scraped my knee"
Dad" "Builds your Characther"
Kid: "I fell off my bike"
Dad: "Build's your character"
Kid: "I slipped 2 disks and I can't walk"
Dad" "Builds your Characther"
Kid: "I got accused of having too much character and I need you to bail me out of jail"
Dad: "Sorry about your luck, don't bother me"
Kid: Thanks!
When your imagination conflicts with societal norms, it can get you in a shit pile of trouble. Product of a seafairing Father who was a technophobe, read books about war/spying and intrique, -constantly. Mom was blonde bombshell vegitarian model/beautician ....WHAAAT? I guess if Freud was right, then I am a lethal pixy fairy with militant dietary discipline and a carrot firing potato gun under my pillow. Luckily I turned into a slightly geeky, idealist with an uncommonly open mind and a general sense that I have always been responsible for my own development. ...not to mention my miriade of screwups which are directly proportional to my capacity for trouble.
If you find that you are perpetually late for everything, Set your alarm 1/2 hour earlier.
If you don't like something about your life, change it.
If you are bored, write a book! If you don't think you have anything to write about, pack your knapsack and go somewhere you have never been before. Then write about your experiences.
